Czech culture and Summer ceramic festival in Yingge

What a cultural day today! In the morning full of Czech and Indonesian culture and in the afternoon full of ceramics :-)

Our presentation place :-)

Today, we've made our promotion materials much better and I feel, we're improving our presentations skills. We've presented our countries and I think, that local people understood us almost everything (we have a lot of pictures :-). But the weather has been again very hot and it has been killing us slowly. Maybe next time, we could change our promotion place in case the security would allow us to do so. These days our promotion place is about three minutes from the art village and there isn't almost any shadow. On the other hand, this place is close to the biking trail, so some people stop here to take a rest.
Know Czech Republich and Indonesia - check!
Know our culture too..
It the afternoon, we've decided to visit the Ceramic Vision Summer Festival in New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum. It has been interesting, full of ceramics and new things to explore. This festival offers a lot of chances to try to do your own ceramics. You can make a ceramics, paint it or just buy it done.

There are seven places, that you can visit. First one is Museum. We've been there before, so we haven't visited it today.

Another one is Wind Channel. You can experience here to make a "Raku" - you get an elephant without colors, than choose a glaze and see the firing technique (firing took about two hours, so maybe we'll try it next time). There is also Ceramics Stage show - there are some singers exhibition, dance promotion and so much more.

Herbal jelly

Creative Market is another part of Summer festival. We've tried to eat Herbal Jelly and as a present, we've gotten the bowl and we've also eaten some Fired Bakery. There are two choices. First, it's meat backed in big pot. Second looks like a roll, it's sweet, smells amazing and very very good. And mainly, it's backed in kiln. I'd like to have one now :-D

First (blue and green pot) - jelly, second (red) - sweet brown water, third - ice

Another place is a Water fount, where is water playground for a children. Sometimes I wish to be a children to jump into the water and cool down a little :-) But this place seems very nice.

Next part is a Earth Passage. The most interesting part of this has been for me the Kick wheel. There is one artist, who kick the wheel to make a pottery and he's so good! Just check the video :-) Another interesting thing, that you can experienced is Jiggering - decorating a ceramics bowl with letters or some pictures. Tourists can also try Slip casting - you fill some form with clay and then fire the form. Later, when you open the form, you'll have a nice pottery - tradaa.

Fire place

Between other places, we've visited belongs Fire Arena. It's a place, where you can see, how's the pottery burn, some ceramics art or whole process of creating ceramics. This place is characteristics of its playground, because it's in the centre. Other interesting thing is Body painting! I've let one artist to do one for me. I've picked the flower, so I've gotten a rose. The process is quite simple, but you have to be skilled to do so. First, you draw a picture on your hand on face with special glue, than you choose the color of glitters and third - artist put some glitters on your picture and it appear as a beautiful tattoo :-) It longs about two or three days. Very nice!

The last two places are Information station and our San-Ying art village. And as a bonus, you can get promotion map and on each place a print stamp on it. When you collect all eight stamps, you'll get a small present! We've been looking forward to the present. Lately it has showed up, that the present are two pencils with small blue elephants :-D What a cute things, because you do not pay any entrance fee.

But our day has been continued! When we've returnig back home, we've relaxed a little and than we've gone for a coffee in Speed Coffee. It has been very tasty and we've chatted a little with our friends.

Later, we've been looking forward to get home soon and take some rest, so we've decided to take a bus home. Usually on our bus stop stops only one bus - ours. Today, there were two buses. We've taken the first one - wroong.. The wrong bus has gone to the suburb. What now? Well, we've walked for a while with the hope, that we'll find out our way home. We've done it! Usually our trip to home takes around 10 minutes, today 90 minutes :-D But we're finally at home :-)

What a lovely whole day!
