Taichung - Rainbow Old Village - Sun Moon Lake

Another day full of travelling is here! In the morning our journey has begun with normal Taiwanese breakfast - scrambled eggs with ham, cheese or cabbage. Someone has tried hot soy milk and someone has started only with tea. I've ordered hot soy milk, because it reminds me home and I've bought banana and some cereals yesterday for my breakfast. On our way to our first stop, I've seen waterfall in front of one hotel. It's made my day more beautiful :-) We've taken a bus to the train station and stop in the popular Eye clinic. This clinic looks like a library in Harry Potter movies, it has been very nice.
And one thing about Taichung - if you travel less than 8km, you won't pay single dollar. It's free. I'd like to have the same at home - I'd travel more by public transportation instead of walking.

Later we've taken a bus to the Rainbow Old Village. It takes about one hour. The village has been shining with colors. There have been a lot of paintings everywhere! On the walls, ground, doors and even windows. You can feel there children happiness, laugh and scream :-) We've taken there a lot of pictures, so you can enjoy the atmosphere with us.

Our next journey has been to the Banana New Paradise restaurant. We had there an order for our lunch. It has been very good. We have there rice with duck, sea food, pork, chicken, leaves of sweet potato and we've finished with delicious dumpling with something sweet inside (it taste like a dumpling wit plum jam in Italy or Austria on the ski slopes :-) I've overeaten myself.

Hau tsu! (Very good!)

Very good style of Paradise..
On our way to the next stop, we've visited Confucius Temple in Taichung. It has been huge! I've tried to make some pictures if whole Temple, but it has been impossible, because it's in the city center and you cannot go so far. This Temple has interested me, because it has been like two Temples in each other. On the other hand, the decoration has been a little bit poor, when I compare it with Temples, I've already been in. But I've been happy to see one more temple here in Taiwan. After the Temple, we have had a short stop in children playground. It has been so much fun! We have had 5 minutes before the bus came and we were really like small children! I've finally found tree house :-))
It has been thiiis big!
How much? Thiiis biiig!
Tree house :-))
Our next stop is Sun Moon Lake. This city is about 70 minutes far from Taichung. On our way I've seen from the bus a lot of mountains, nature, amazing views, some small temples or many places, where people grow rice.. The trees and plants are different from the north part of Taiwan. Their leaves are bigger, everything is greener and there is a lot of palms (in Czech these places are usually cover with needle leaves trees).
Big cities are everywhere..
Rice fields in the center of the city
When we've arrived to Sun Moon Lake, it has been raining a lot and more cold than on the north. We've crossed tropical Taiwan to subtropical. Our hotel is very nice tonight. It looks like a little bit like Austrian style in the mountains, but with TV and Taiwanese bathroom. Almost everything in the living room is made from wood.

In the evening we've been to shopping street take some dinner. The journey has been different than in other places, we've been in. It has been quiet night, animals were making sounds like in the summer vacation near to the sea, behind the lake has been a storm and street has been almost empty.. Little bit scary, but we're ten (one guy has left today), so in case of emergency, we can help each other :-)) There has been no need to help, people were friendly and we're only wandering around.. Our night journey has finished with the night view to the lake. It has been good, but I'm looking more to see it tomorrow during the day.
Night is very beautiful, you can focus on every single move of the wind and enjoy the lights..
